Background story

1994 - The first tiger airplane of the 321 tigers from Lechfeld, the ECR 46+35, is given birth. It is designed for this year's Cambrai Tiger Meet in France and presented to the world in the course of a squadron party on the 29-04-1994. Together with it, two other airplanes are painted in a tiger scheme, ECRs 46+36 and 46+40, and both schemes are completely identical, so that they were called the 'Twins'. It was intended, that one of them should always be the wing aircraft of the main tigerjet 46+35 and the other one should be a spare aircraft. Since during the course of the Tiger Meet the main tigerjet never broke, there was no occasion that the twins flew together a mission. What a pitty. It would have been a nice picture for the spotters.
